Winter Morning

The day dawned cold and snowy
On this very wintry morn
Everything looks fresh and new
Like a baby, when it's born

l am watching out my window
As the snow is falling round
lt makes the world so quiet and still
As it covers up the ground

Across the road, back by the woods
Stand some deer out in the field
And the birds flock to the feeders
Where from wind they have some shield

As with each different time of year
Each season has so much to give
lf we stay in touch with nature
It's a very good time to live
